Yasiin Bey x Robert Glasper Collab Live In Paris, De La Soul’s “Stakes Is High”

There is no better Hip Hop experience, than seeing Hip Hop legends perform live on stage with a live band. And when legends join forces in a collaborative performance, it’s mind blowing! Hip Hop legends Yasiin Bey, formally known as Mos Def, and Robert Glasper recently rocked the stage together in Paris, for the Jazz à la Villette Festival.

Together, they performed some of Yasiin’s classic hits like “Ms. Fat Booty”, De La Soul x Mos Def’s “Big Brother Beat”, and more. They also performed some classic covers. Among them were Slum Village’s “Fall In Love”, and De La Soul’s “Stakes Is High”. Both Hip Hop classics are productive works of legendary Hip Hop producer/artist J Dilla…. (rest in peace, bless) along with a host of other classics. Glasper and Yasiin are not strangers to joining forces. They have been doing so, off and on, for several years. It would be pure Hip Hop justice (and about time) to see and hear them together, recording an album live!… or may be a live collab EP… just sayin!…
