WindBreaker is an online webtoon comic created by author Yongseok Jo, and is a slice of life/sports webtoon. WindBreaker follows the storyline of Jay Jo, an average high school student with a love for cycling. His life and ambitions revolve around his studies and securing a respectable future for himself. His life is suddenly and abruptly upended when he is forced to join his school’s local biking club and his life is forever changed, in ways that Jay Jo never expected.
Windbreaker has much to offer readers, as the series itself is action-packed, and the storyline and characters are fleshed out extremely well. The story revolves around a well built supporting cast and the comic lends itself to a variety of genres that the majority of readers outside of action and sports fans can also enjoy, such as romance, drama, comedy, suspense, slice-of-life and crime.
The webtoon is a three-part series and is currently on a brief hiatus in expectation for the fourth, and potentially final, season to wrap up the storyline of this gripping comic.
If anyone is looking for a new webtoon to dive into, Windbreaker is a must-read.
