UIC Hosts Thrilling DJ Battle on the Quad

On Wednesday, November 13th, the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Quad was transformed into a pulsating epicenter of music and excitement as students gathered for the much-anticipated DJ Battle. Running from 12 PM to 3 PM, the event brought together some of the most talented DJs on campus in a fierce competition for top honors, drawing a large crowd eager for both the beats and the fun that came with it.

The event, hosted by UIC Radio's dynamic Mick and Tristan, kicked off with an electrifying set from DJ Antcy, who immediately got the crowd moving. His mix of infectious rhythms and crowd-pleasing tracks set the tone for the afternoon. As the music reverberated through the Quad, students, faculty, and staff alike converged at the outdoor venue, ready to enjoy a day of music, dancing, and socializing. Attendees were treated to an array of sweet treats, including hot chocolate, freshly baked cupcakes, and warm apple cider, generously served by volunteers from UIC Radio Declan and Dan. The combination of music and snacks made for an inviting and festive atmosphere.

As the competition heated up, Saturn Sounds took the stage next, bringing a different energy with a mix of experimental beats and innovative sounds. The crowd’s response was immediate, as groups of students gathered in the center of the Quad, dancing and cheering in unison.
