Pronounced “Tremors“, this southern California band is one of those elusive, magical musical beings that pops up every once in a while only if you’re dedicated enough to follow their activities. I’m fairly certain that they have never toured outside of California, but there’s no way to be sure. The lead singer, Anthony Perry, is also the bassist for beach-goth Gods, The Growlers (who I will be posting about soon).
Their 60’s psych beach lo-fi jams really transport me back home to the ocean and sand, a sort of timeless place where everyone is having salty fun in the sun. They have a surf mellow feel, like a mix of The Cramps and Violent Femmes, but also satisfy a taste for some faster, punkish sounds resembling The Germs.
As the weather becomes beautiful again in Chicago, allow Trmrs to creep into your life and supply you with “trash pop” greatness.
More videos and a rando-photo after the jump, muchachos! -Nick Mosca
