Bye Summer… Hello Fall! Time to ditch the tank tops and fall into a new chapter. Fall brings exciting fashion trends, festivities, spookiness and much much more. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because I love being creative with Halloween costumes and layering fashion pieces. However, we all know Fall does NOT last long in Chicago, so lets go over these new trends quickly!
1.BROWN is the new black!
Brown clothing is hot right now! I walked into an H&M last week and the store was full of brown oversized tees, brown track suits, brown dresses and brown leather pants. It’s fair to say brown is the new neutral. Brown is a great addition to your wardrobe and can act as a piece to an outfit or the whole theme of an outfit. Many celebrities have been pairing brown with denim, wearing brown leather, accessorizing with brown purses and wearing matching brown pieces. Here is one of my favorite brown pieces found at Tobi: Brown Leather Dress (don’t worry it’s vegan!) This dress would pair with white sneaks, high boots or even heels! It would go with a jean jacket, leather jacket or an oversized zip up! Brown really goes with anything!
2. LOUNGE in a matching set!
Want to be comfy and trendy? Matching sets are your answer. Matching sweat suits, velvet tracksuits and workout sets are all on the charts. I love this trend because you can be cute and comfy all at the same time. You can also dress these casual matching sets up with jewelry, cute shoes, purses and hats. The best part about this trend is that it is relatively cheap! Many sets can be found at Target, Amazon, Tj Maxx, Ross, Forever 21 and H&M. Here is my favorite matching workout sets from Amazon: 3 Piece Set. This set would go from casual to stylish with gold hoops, layered necklaces, a puffer jacket and cute shoes of your choice.
3. Are you on clean-tok?
Cleaning? What- how is this a trend? TikTok has turned cleaning and organizing into an aesthetic hobby. I can not tell you how many videos on my FYP have been people re-packaging their spices into matching glass jars with simple labels. Scrub daddies, matching spice jars with simple labels and containers for food storage have been flying off the shelves. Trending organizers and cleaning supplies will have you wanting to clean! Here is a spice jar set I am tempted to buy: Spice Containers.
4. Another celebrity SkinCare line…
Skin care is definitely trending this fall because of all the new celebrity lines coming out. SKKN by Kim Kardashian and Rhode by Hailey Beiber are just two of many lines that have started to stick out in the market. It’s hard to know if these lines are worth the price or if they are just selling because of the name. Personally, this Fall I will keep my skin hydrated and clean with simple drug store products recommended to me by a dermatologist. Keeping your skin care routine simple is sometimes the best way to go. Here is a link to the best face wash and moisturizer set I have used: Cetaphil Skin Set. Wash with this cleanser and follow with this lotion every morning and night! Don’t forget to use sunscreen in the morning after cleansing and hydrating. Here is one that is light weight and uses clean ingredients: EltaMD. These products wont hurt your wallet and will work!!
5. Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!
Coffee is an everyday necessity… I mean really! Coffee is always selling and trending, but what has been popular right now? Right now cold brew has been popping off, even when its cold. Instead of regular milk or cream, cold foam has also been trending. Cold foam is a whipped/frothed milk or cream that often has sweet flavors and mixes into a coffee of your choice. Since its Fall, many people have been ordering pumpkin spice cold foams in their coffees and cold brews. If you are all about the spice I say go for it! But if you are like me and don’t like Pumpkin Spice, try a cold brew with sweet cold foam. It won’t disappoint! Here is my order at Starbucks: Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew.
If you haven’t already participated in these 5 trends, go ahead and try them out! Enjoy the Fall weather and grab a coffee or try out a new fashion trend!
