Hello everyone and welcome back!! I know it's been a while since I've been so busy recently but here's my first blog of the season! And we are starting off strong with My Fall Favorites!
If you've seen me in person you'll know I traded the faded purple streaks for red, and so now everything I wear has to go with red. But this works out! Since my first fall favorite is...
Vamp-y styles!!
I am currently obsessed with looking like a vampire, whether it's from Buffy or Twilight, I love it.
Big sweaters
Not just because I'm watching Gilmore Girls, but oversized almost poofy sweaters are my favorite right now. I swear you have to find vintage ones because the quality with newer sweaters is just not nearly as good. Hopefully, it gets cool enough soon that I can actually wear them!!!
Low-rise Jeans
I know... I KNOW. But they're so cute.... especially with big sweaters and they go really well in the Vampire/Rock Star aesthetic... Especially boot-cut ones, idk.. something about them is just calling my name recently!!
90's Grunge
Nothing new for me, I am a grunge girly till the day I die (emotionally and spiritually) but I feel as if this kind of encapsulated everything I talk about in this segment, the colors, the types of clothes, of course with a few outliers as I am never truly faithful to one aesthetic.
Skirts!
Long or short! I will say that long skirts are trending more and I myself have begun to wear them more (yk what that says about our economy...) but I always love a good mini skirt! that paired with a big top and some leg warmers will never go wrong for me! Similarly the small top big bottom combo with longer skirts, or with a slimmer skirt the big top small bottoms never go wrong.
Button-Ups!
A slim button-up with big bottoms?! Whether its some boot cup jeans, trousers, or a long skirt I am all the way there!!! (And ofc still mini skirts) Especially slightly sheer button-ups are some of my favorites right now!
Darker colors
And so obviously with the fall comes the shift from pastels and bright colors to more muted and earth tones, but what I think isn't getting enough love are darker jewel tones. Don't get me wrong I am a black-and-white with a pop of color girly till the day I die, but seeing so many people take on a more whimsigoth aesthetic has given me a deep appreciation for these dark jewel-toned outfits.
Misa Amane
Her in general is just so me in the fall. But the flip-flopping between cutesy and edgy is everything to me, if I have to pick one fashion inspiration for this fall it is definitely her!
Thank you so much!! This is all for this week!!
