THE DR. PAULA SHOW, TUESDAY 01/24 AT 11 AM: DR. JERRY KRISHNAN

The next Dr.Paula Show will feature Dr. Jerry Krishnan, Associate Vice Chancellor for Population Health Sciences in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System. The show will air on January 24th at 11:00 AM. He will be sharing his thoughts on population based sciences, his office’s role to address issues of health disparities and health literacy and preventive interventions for health disparities observed in patients having asthma and other lung disorders.

Dr. Krishnan is a Professor of Medicine and Public Health, and Associate Vice Chancellor for Population Health Sciences in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health System).  He is a physician-scientist with expertise in the care of patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other lung disorders.  He is a principal investigator of multiple studies which focus on identifying the most effective treatments and educational and support programs to improve health outcomes for patients with pulmonary disorders. Dr. Krishnan was previously chairman of the Pulmonary-Allergy Drugs Advisory Committee for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
