Thanks to my best friend Gigi, this Wednesday I saw SZA’s SOS tour LIVE at the United Center! From production to vocals, this concert was such a memorable experience and I am so grateful to have experienced it. SZA incorporated beautiful vocals, messages, incredible dance choreography, a hit setlist with old and new songs, and cinematic visuals all together. The concert kept her SOS album theme of being alone at sea by using seascape visuals and a floating boat that she sang some of her saddest songs like “Supermodel,” “Nobody Gets Me,” “Gone Girl,” and “Special” in.
Call me biased, but the concert felt special. The ambiance and music made it my favorite concert I have ever been to. The crowd at this concert added to the ambience because the energy was immaculate. Everyone was dancing, smiling and having a good time. SZA added renditions to her songs in her live performance with guitar solos and vocal riffs that gave everyone goosebumps.
One of the reasons why I love SZA is because she is humble. SZA closed out the concert coming on stage and saying thank you to all of her fans. She thanked us all for our time, energy and for paying to see her. If I could see this concert again I would!
