Hey everybody! Spring Break 2015 has finally dawned on us and thank God for that…because seriously it took long enough to get here! Anyway, are you going somewhere special this break? So many people are going to the sunny and 75 Florida! Maybe California? How about somewhere international? Any mission trips? Visiting long-lost friends? Any solo trips? How about to Kentucky? Sorry…I’m a bit desperate, I’ll take anything at this point ha! Unfortunately, my wanderlust will have to be just that for the moment. It sucks being an adult because you actually have to work over spring break.
But I’m more concerned about all of you and what you will do with your travel keepsakes when you come back! The plane ticket? The pictures and postcards? Different currency or coins maybe? What about those little miniature model landmarks? Key chains? I remember when my passport expired, I used all the passport stamps from different countries and put them all in my scrapbook. As you can probably tell by now, I’m big on crafting and the following are a few ways you can save your travel keepsakes!
1. Key chains
2. Ticket Stubs and Misc: Just requires a shadow box that you can find at any Michaels! I love working with shadow boxes, especially because the finish product looks ahhh-mazing, like the one below.
3. Personalized Photo Map: This one is slightly more complicated, but worth it!
4. Post Card or Picture Display: Pin up pretty ribbons, or lights or even wires and then you can use clothes pins to hand your pictures or postcards. Or just stick the pictures on your wall!
5. Sand and Sea Shells: Requires a mason jar, or a nice symmetrical vase or any glass container really. Start pouring in the sand one by one and put your labels on top!
Are you going away on fun vacation? What are yo bringing back with you? Hopefully you are able to use these ideas for your keepsakes!
