Rock-mas

I can’t be the only one that has been tired of Christmas music since November 2nd. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas music but once Halloween was over and everyone automatically forgot about Thanksgiving and got excited about Christmas, I thought it was way too early. I’ll admit, on November 1st when I heard Christmas music on the radio I sang along when “Jingle Bells”, “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”, and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” came on. But on November 2nd when Christmas decorations went up and the music was everywhere, I got tired of it. I don’t mean to be a grinch but everyone in the English speaking world knows these songs (yes, a Mean Girls reference – I had to).

I’m sure a lot of people, like me, have to hear the same Christmas songs nonstop for 8 hours at work, 4-5 times a week. Then I go out for my lunch break and hear the same songs wherever I go eat, or shop. At this point, they have all started to sound the same, so instead of avoiding Christmas music all together this year, I started listening to my kind of Christmas music:

Green Day – Xmas Time Of The Year (2015)

Weezer – The Christmas Song (2001)

Simple Plan – My Christmas List (2002) and

Simple Plan – Christmas Every Day (2016) I had to include Simple Plan, it was inevitable sorry guys.

Tom Petty –  Christmas All Over Again (1992)

Queen – Thank God It’s Christmas (1984)

MxPx – Christmas Day (2009)
