Can you believe Aquarius is entering Pluto for the first time since 1798?

It’s been over two centuries since Pluto last passed through Aquarius, and now, on November 19, Pluto returns for a 20-year cycle of transformation. That’s a long time! It’s worth noting that Pluto in Aquarius back in the late 18th century aligned with the Industrial Revolution and a time of major social reform movements. However, it was also a time when the rise of systemic inequalities in America followed the "revolution."

So, while this shift may symbolize progress in technology, innovations, and advancements in general, it will also come with challenges. Just as the American Revolution brought forward an idealized vision of progressive thinking while simultaneously upholding injustices, Pluto in Aquarius may bring about changes that aren't all positive. Given how polarizing political views have become and how activism is a tool for social change, we can expect to see political figures using their authority in ways that undermine human rights and social equality.

But this isn’t all bad. Pluto's energy is here to dismantle the very roots of society, digging up what no longer serves us. It calls for a transformation of the systems that have kept inequality and division in place, creating space for new ways of thinking and being—especially in a sign like Aquarius.

In this, we will probably see human connection grow stronger as people reject the generational injustices that have been upheld for so long. Technology can become a tool throughout this transformation, as people use it to push for freedom, awareness, and mobilization. It can also make us realize that we are becoming too dependent on it because real change is broader than that. While it provides infinite knowledge, real change requires more than just information—you need willpower and community. A lot will take place these next two decades, but just remember that destruction brings about change, and an authoritarian world doesn't last.
