A few years ago, my grandpa gifted me his old digital camera—a Sony Cybershot that had seen its fair share of family vacations and gatherings. At first, I didn’t know what to do with it, but it didn’t take long for me to realize its magic; the way it acts as a portal into beautiful moments. With every click, I could freeze moments that caught my eye: a singular flower blooming in the waves of sun, the way my cat struts with such confidence, or the way nature drowns in the moonlight. Photography has become a magic to me, everything from the subtle impact of lessened exposure to capturing a still or busy moment.
