In the awkward limbo between October and December, we have my favorite month. It's getting colder outside; the leaves are losing their pretty colors, and everything is becoming more barren and empty. Halloween festivities are over, and Christmastime isn't in full effect yet.
So what do we have without excitement and noise that keeps us constantly occupied? We have ourselves, and we have the beautifully introspective of November. I notice that during this month, my music preferences are more acoustic, stripped back, and melancholic, reflecting the physical environment around me. It's the last entr'acte before the finale of a play. It's a deep breath before the closing argument of a speech.

To me, November is the best month to wallow in whatever feelings you have been pushing down all year. November is the time to let it all bubble up and be free.
