Nobody's Perfect, Especially Pete Hegseth

In recent news, a member of the Trump Administration made a major whoopsie. On March 15th, Pete Hegseth, you know... the Secretary of Defense, sent a message containing very private and very specific information on upcoming military strikes in Yemen to the Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic. My only question is, how incompetent do you have to be to send details of a top-secret military plan to someone not involved, who also happens to be a journalist?! Like, hey, ever heard of proofreading?

This reminds me of the time I accidentally sent a message complaining about my sister to my sister. Might I add that she was in the same room as me at the time. Imagine trying to explain yourself out of that one... yeesh, talk about awkward! While the situation caused an argument, our relationship was mended shortly after. You know what they say: sisters by chance, friends by choice. My mistext is nothing compared to what good Ole Peter did, so I find comfort in that, and you should too. Honestly, there is not much you could do that is more moronic than him.

The main takeaway here is that everybody makes mistakes. And while we should give people grace, the safety of our country is in this man's hands! His breach of military intelligence via a Signal group chat is more than mildly alarming. Your actions were extremely emasculating and unpatriotic, Peter!
