Have you ever heard of a film and really liked the idea, but circumstances kept you from watching it? Well, I have quite a few of those films, which I have narrowed down to a top 5 list with little personal backstory of where I heard of them.
(Unfortunately, my planned Dune piece is taking longer than anticipated, for here is another list of film recommendations!)

1) Yojimbo
The inspiration for the spaghetti western film Fistful of Dollars, I really want to watch this film to compare and contrast. The only thing preventing me from doing so is that I promised my father we'd watch it together, so hopefully this summer I get around to it!
2) Nosferatu (1922)
The unlicensed adaptation of Dracula recommended by a friend over the summer, that I have yet to watch due to time and place issues.
3) Space is the Place
Showcased at the Art Institute Chicago's collection of Panafrican Art, I saw the first 5 minutes of this film, and they kinda blew me away. The costuming is amazing in this film, and the film itself is quite an interesting piece of Afrofuturism.
4) Fallen Angels
I watched part of this at my job over the summer, and it was quite interesting, both plot-wise and through camera movements. I know it's quite well-liked, so hopefully, I will get to see it soon.
5) Mysterious Skin
I'm a very big fan of the director of this one, Gregg Araki, and yet I haven't seen his most popular film; honestly, it's a disgrace. I should stop calling myself his fan until I watch it. Hopefully, I can watch it soon; otherwise, I might get swamped with other stuff.
