It’s that time of year where you constantly check and refresh the Lollapalooza 2014 website. It is such a tease that there isn’t a set date of when the artist who will be performing is going to be released. At the same time it is genius. Not to mention the Hunger Games esq battle to get those 3 day passes for only $75! Which seems impossible, just saying. Anyway, I have a a few techniques for hypothesizing who will be performing each year. Though this one may seem like there is 0 connection, I always check the Bonnaroo line up to see if any of the performers on there who would likely perform in Chicago for the biggest music festival of the summer. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn’t. My secret weapon for guessing the lineup is to go on rumor websites. As high school as this sounds, many times there are people who have the inside scoop and post what they know on these. All you have to do is Google “Lollapalooza rumors” and then go wild on the website. Who am I hoping will perform more than anything? You guessed it, Frank Ocean. Hopefully the artist you want to see will be performing, best of luck creeping the rumor websites.
