PITBULL BRINGS IN 2015!
Pitbull, a Cuban American singer and former rapper brought in the new year 2015. You may formally know him as “Mr. 305” or “Mr. Worldwide” or just the guy that has made really danceable music featuring various artists like: Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Marc Anthony, Lil Jon, Havana Brown, Ke$ha, Chris Brown and Christina Aguilera. He’s also the guy known for saying “DALE!!” in his music.
Originally some would say his old music was raunchy and very explicit but now his music is pop-rhythmic and upbeat with his smooth voice but more radio-appropriate for a wider audience. He made a great choice of going with a huge transition from rapping and singing in Spanish and being known mostly by his Latino audience to breaking out into the American Pop scene where he has become an icon. Through he has gained more stardom he has stayed true to his roots by still being the voice of the Latino diaspora.
He recently performed in Miami, Florida – his hometown for New Year’s Eve. This special performance was broadcasted on the Fox network for views across the globe because as you know he is “Mr. Worldwide”. He gave a performance alongside other artists that joined his mini concert series titled “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution”. The artists in his “New Year’s Revolution” line-up were: Misdirectors, Pete Wentz, Rosci Diaz, and The Most Bad Ones, Fall Out Boy, Enrique Iglesias, Fifth Harmony, Becky G, the Band Perry, La La, and DJ Sinatra. The performance was said to be in Miami Beach’s Thompson Hotel.
Pitbull’s big finale to 2014 was for his Miami native fans and of course party-animals bringing in 2015. The only difference between performing in Miami than in New York City is that supposedly a big pineapple drops instead of the ball dropping at the countdown.
Additionally, as Pitbull is friends with most of his fellow music connections and artists, it gives me great pleasure to announce that he will be going on tour with Enrique Iglesias (the famous Spanish singer that made the hit “Hero” years ago but now sings more pop sounding songs as well). They will be coming to perform Friday, February 20th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Make sure you give Pitbull’s music a listen. DALEEE!!!!!
