Hi all!
It’s been a while since I last wrote about my obsession with K-pop. There are tons of K-pop songs I’ve listened to lately. But for today, I want to share with you guys my all time favorite Korean boy band, BIG BANG. They’ve been in the music industry for about 10 years, and they still ROCK!!
Now let’s listen to their latest song before dive in and get to know Big Bang.
They look really happy in this music video. Don’t you think they are all being so funny and adorable? I’m in love with Deasung. If you have no idea who I’m talking about (you soon will), well Deasung is the one who uses banana as a microphone in the music video. Isn’t he funny and mischievous?
Let’s get to know them individually. The members are:
G-Dragon. That’s his stage name. His real name is Jiyong Kwon. He is the leader of the group. He comes in a full package. He’s a rapper, singer, lyricist, and producer. He is really talented. Well, all of the group members are really talented and unique in their own way.
Teayang. He doesn’t have a stage name. He is known for his sixth pack and his awesome dance move. His voice is heaven too. He released his solo album, Rise, last year and received tremendous supports from fans.
TOP, rapper. He is also the alien in the group for his 4D behavior. Besides being a rapper, he is also an actor and model. He is in various dramas and movies. One fun fact about him is that he never shows his body. You can see in the music video (We Like 2 Party) that he has his bathrobe on when he enters the pool. He also can pull any hairstyle.
Seungri is the clown and the maknae (youngest member) in the group. He is a singer, actor, and MC for various K-pop shows. He is also the owner/cofounder of the Seungri Academy. It is a school for someone who want to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
Deasung. His full name is Deasung Kang. He is the lead vocalist. ( I die for his soulful voice.) He speaks Japanese fluently. He even released his own, full album in Japanese. He used to be in a lot of variety shows, and that’s how I get attach to him.
Now let’s listen to the other three songs.

Big Bang are really popular, not only in South Korean. They have fans all around the world.
Do you know that one of their songs was in the movie “Pitch Perfect 2”? The song entitled “Fantastic Baby,” which was released in 2012, and it has become a signature song for Big Bang. Here is the song.
