Playboi Carti is finally back with a new album after five years. His latest project, I AM MUSIC, dropped in 2025 and fans are calling it one of the best albums of the year. Carti had been teasing the album since 2024 by posting short clips, performing unreleased songs, and sharing updates. Even though it was delayed, the excitement only grew stronger. This also caused lots of social media accounts, including football teams and Spotify, to release the album.

Songs and Performances That Got Fans Hyped

Some of the songs, like “OPM Babi” and “Rather Lie,” were already familiar to fans before the album dropped. “Rather Lie” was first played at The Weeknd’s concert and quickly became a favorite (including for myself!) “OPM Babi” brings Carti’s energy and stands out as one of the top tracks.

Let’s also talk about Carti’s main producer, Swamp Izzo. His tag—“SWAMP”—can be heard throughout the album, and his production truly shaped the sound of this project. The beats are so clean and unique that even the instrumentals alone are worth listening to.

At Rolling Loud, Carti performed songs from the new album and got the crowd going crazy. His performance had loud bass and fans jumping and shouting every word. It showed that Carti still knows how to put on a show.

Huge congratulations to Playboi Carti! All 30 songs from the album charted on the Billboard Hot 100 making him the first rapper in history to achieve that.
