Hombres G visit Chicago and it was a blast : On the Grid

If you're a fan of music in Spanish, I bet you have heard of Hombres G, a Spanish pop-rock band formed in Madrid in 1983. Some of their classic hits include "Devuelveme a Mi Chica," "El Ataque de las Chicas Cocodrilo," and "Te Quiero." The band consists of 4 members: lead vocalists David Summers, Rafael Gutierrez, Dani Mezquita, and Javi Molina. They released their first single in 1983, titled "Marta tiene un Marcapasos," and in 1986, after the release of their first two albums, they hit more than a million sales. They have such a recognizable career with their worldwide popularity, especially in the Americas. Their first tour of the Western hemisphere in 1987 gained even more success and popularity than they had ever experienced.

To celebrate their long and successful career, Hombres G embarked on a 40th-anniversary tour that has 14 stops, with one of them being Chicago! On June 22nd, they arrived at the Allstate Arena to give Chicago a nostalgic and fun concert filled with memories, dancing, and singing along. The show started at 8:00 pm, with fans eagerly waiting; a slideshow appeared on the screen, showing the G-Men intro, an allusion to how they got their name, and a compilation of various announcers throughout history presenting Hombres G. The crowd roars once the screen goes black. The lights turn on, and Javi Molina starts singing an acapella version of "Venetia" before welcoming the band and playing the full version. An upbeat hit got the crowd going, and everyone was on their feet, chanting lyrics and having a great time. The second song was "El Ataque de las Chicas Cocodrilo," and the crowd got even more excited. They all knew this would be an amazing concert and an unforgettable night.

You still have time to see this wonderful tour that'll have you reminiscing about hearing Hombres G, whether it be in the background while you're at a childhood party, on the radio, or just relaxing in your house. The memories you make at this concert will be everlasting.
