Happy Birthday Shada

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are doing well! For this week's blog, I decided to just tell you guys how my birthday weekend went! So by all means, please enjoy this short and sweet blog.

My birthday landed on the 26th of October, yet the celebration started Friday, the day before. I honestly did not do anything crazy for my birthday.. Yet, I am still very grateful to have spent it with the people that I love and I did enjoy every minute of it. On Friday, we have planned on going to this Italian restaurant called Il Poggiolo Ristorante. This restaurant is located in Hinsdale Illinois. The reason why I chose this restaurant was because I was just craving pasta and it looked good on tiktok... Yet, as we were on our way to the restaurant, I do not know why and how, but for some reason, I just blurted out "Can we just go to Olive Garden?" We turned the whole car around and devoured some breadsticks and Tortellini.

After we ate so much to the point where we almost puked, we decided to take a late night cruise in the suburbs and blast some music and sing our hearts out. We then decided to stop by for coffee. The cafe that we decided to stop by at was the Cocomelt Dessert Lounge located in Lombard Illinois. This was my first time trying it, and thus far i would give it an 8/10. The lady who made our drinks was sweet and I decided to order their Pistachio Iced Latte. One of the best ones that I have tried for sure. My favorite part about this drink is that it actually includes small bits of pistachio in the coffee.

After we got our drinks, we decided to drive back to our area and go to another cafe! We only went to that cafe play a card game called Speed, and to buy a slice of cheesecake for my mom. Let's just say that I am unbeatable in this game. After we played a few rounds of this game, we decided to call it a night. Now this was the 25th, yet my birthday was the next day.

As the next morning came along, I went out to breakfast with a friend. We ended up going to this pancake house called Stacked, which is located in Oak Lawn Illinois. I ended up getting chicken and waffles. It honestly wasn't anything special. After breakfast, my cousin and I went to go watch one of my favorite movies, Coraline. Although, we did not go to just any theater, we went to the Rooftop Cinema located at the Emily Hotel in Chicago. You can pick either between the lovers seat or regular seating. My cousin and I got the lovers seat of course. They then give you headphones for the movie. The staff were very nice and the rooftop was perfectly decorated for Halloween. It was a great experience, even though I was freezing!
