Best Picture
No Comment. I genuinely have no concrete opinion on this one, I just don't want it to be Emilia Perez. I would love Nickel Boys to win, but I don't think the Academy would vote for it. Conclave could do it, but I think a lot more of the hype is online. The Brutalist probably has this in the bag; it's a very "Best Picture Winner" film. If Dune 2 wins, I'll be impressed. I'm not unhappy, but I'm just surprised.
Note: I've seen 6/10 best picture noms so I might be a bit biased against the ones I haven't seen as I have zero opinions on them.
Best Lead Actor
Timothee Chalamet (ACU) or Colman Domingo (Sing Sing)
I couldn't decide between them. I like Timothee Chalamet in Dune, he brings an interesting dimension to the character of Paul Atreides (out of touch, slightly awkward teenager). He did pretty well in A Complete Unknown despite the film itself being a video version of a Wikipedia article. But Colman Domingo in Sing Sing was legendary. I like Colman Domingo quite a bit, he is very dear to me, his red carpet looks are by far my favorite. Objectively either one is a good pick but I would prefer Domingo, plus Chalamet should get that Oscar to cap off the Dune trilogy in about 2 years.
Best Lead Actress
Demi Moore (Substance)
Disclaimer I haven't seen the Substance so this is based on hearsay from a friend. The short of it is a very compelling performance, and also, who doesn't love an extremely wet and bloody movie?
Best Supporting Actor
Guy Pearce (Brutalist)
As much as I didn't like the Brutalist, Guy Pearce was absolutely disgusting in it. The subtle shifts in his eyes, speech, and body language queues. Well, they were frankly amazing. Personally, I wish Drew Starkey was named for Queer because he is my n1 Supporting Actor of the Year, but Pearce was still pretty good.

Monica Barbaro (ACU)
What to say about Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez. She was amazing. I've been getting into Baez's music recently, and she really nailed it. Absolutely beautiful performance, at some point she even stole the show from Chalamet. Everyone go listen to her sing now!!!
