From Humble Beginnings to New Music Videos…

Great news!!

I just wanted to update you on what is going on in the Latino music culture. For those of you who are avid readers, you might have noticed that the title of this blog is similar to one I wrote in November of 2014. There is a very good reason for that.

The same artist mentioned in that previous blog with a similar name has a new music video out!! In case you need a reminder his name is Romeo Santos. He is a famous Dominican and Puerto Rican bachata singer. As I have previously in the initial blog about him, he worked with Marc Anthony. Marc Anthony as some of you may or may not know is a Puerto Rican salsa singer. He also sings in English too but is definitely more popular and familiar among the Latino community.

They collaborated for the Romeo Santos “Formula Volume 2” album on a song titled “Yo También” (translation: “Me too” ). One thing you MUST know about Marc Anthony is that he is a state of the art original singer. He’s been around for a long while now spreading his talent with his listeners. His music is definitely the real deal when he sings about love. Love songs are one thing, but in the Latino culture if it’s something you can dance to that’s a whole ‘nother ballpark. It’s definitely something that most Latino singers in general are good at. Besides what is good music if you cannot relate to the artist on a personal level?

If you are interested in listening to more songs by Marc Anthony, I definitely suggest that you check out a couple of my favorites below. Just a musical connection to be aware of…this song “Yo También” is similar to an old song by Usher and R. Kelly called “Same Girl”. The point of the song is basically the same. They both fell for and loved the same girl. The only difference is this song “Yo También” is of course in Spanish but also a mix of genres, and what I like to call “Salschata” (Salsa and Bachata).
