Welcome or welcome back to lachurrosstories! I’m so glad to be back this semester and get these exciting blogs out for our special viewers :)
It’s been a summer filled with many many concerts, tours, festivals, new music and new trendy fits! As we know we probably have seen through media like Instagram and TikTok there have been many female tours and special performances circulating around, from places like in the U.S to other locations in Europe and Asia.
A few takeaways from these tours and these artists are how everyone has their own style when it comes to their wardrobe and how they set up their stage and dances.
Based on their album, a specific song, and what the artist seems to wear, patterns start to create, and it gives their fans inspiration and ideas on what to wear for when they attend the show. I’ll cover the patterns the artist makes on stage and how their fans tend to follow as well.
The artists I will be covering throughout this blog are:
Taylor Swift - The Eras Tour
March 2023 - December 2024
(I could talk about Taylor all day long, especially about all her themes and the way each album has its own world.) For this specific tour and writing piece, I’ll share more visuals to represent the differences in each part of the show that resonates with an album. There aren’t specific themes as a whole, but when it comes to an album, she will put pieces together that have the same color scheme, patterns, fabric, etc.

As I mentioned before, it will take a while to get through these looks, especially because she has quite a few in many different colors, adding to her collection. As her fans know, her albums are identified with specific colors:
Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS WORLD TOUR
February - August 2024
To remember, whoever has seen the aesthetic and heard Olivia’s first album, SOUR can tell how GUTS is similar yet so different. When it comes to the GUTS tour, there is clearly a big difference in how she presents herself, through her wardrobe and visually when performing. A lot of the SOUR looks remind me of the words “sweet, purple, white, and lace.” And for GUTS, what I’ve seen through videos, it’s more words like “rebel, dark, red, shimmer, studs.”
As you can see from the images below, Olivia has a few changes throughout the show.

One of the iconic looks for this tour is the words/phrases for her white tank tops that she pairs with a bright red bra and sparkly black shorts. It changes from “Carrie Bradshaw AF” to phrases like “I’m just a girl” and “We come to this place for magic.”

Apart from this casual style, she also started to change it up with more silver and shimmering tops and skirts, with the well-known fishnet stockings she seemed to love. She also came out in a red bodysuit with more silver-design tights, such as stars.
She usually ends her shows with her in a plastic dress with a black top and bottoms or just in that same look. Something to keep in mind with all these looks is how she stays with black boots, a classic Dr. Martens look. Her hairstyle, makeup, and nail choice also stays the same, connecting to the dark red and silver tones.

A lot of the outfits for fans have been very similar to her performing looks as well. There is still a lot of lace, fishnets, black, red, silver, and even a ton of purple, still (she owns this color). A lot of the accessories are things like red hearts and silver stars jewelry, butterflies for SOUR, and shoes of course boots or converse. Sometimes even a cowboy hat with fur.
As I mentioned earlier, I think it’s interesting to see how not only did her music style change and grow since SOUR, but her aesthetic and performances too.

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday 2 World Tour
March - June 2024
One of my favorite looks Nicki had on this tour was the touches of hot pink incorporated into her outfits. For example, in the first image below, she is wearing a hot pink bra plus has all these accessories that highlight that same color, all while wearing simple denim pants. Of course, she can pull this look! Even her high heels are pink and sparkly!
The main takeaway I was getting throughout her looks were how she’s not afraid to be bold and wear such vibrant colors. In the other images below, there are combinations of oversized shirts, long dresses, and more bodysuits in many different fabrics.
I wouldn’t be able to say there’s one singular theme or pattern in regards to her wardrobe for her shows, apart from just how she feels comfortable to perform in.

This also follows with what her fans wear. I’ve seen because people see the title “Pink Friday” from her albums and the history outfits of previous shows and videos, do they tend to automatically wear pink (I would too).
She even mentioned in one tweet, “I’d prefer the barbz wear the PF2 merch but ima love y’all no matter what you'll wear. But dress comfortable." via @Twitter.
Tate McRae - Think Later Tour
April - November 2024
I personally haven’t been a long-time fan of Tate McRae, but the moment she blew up on TikTok with her performances and dances, she became one of the pop stars that I enjoy watching and listening to.
From online videos that I’ve seen, her style is more streetwear and sporty. The biggest look throughout her shows are the different types of jerseys she wears. She pairs up this style with short skirts, denim shorts, and sometimes depending on the style of top, she pairs it up with a crop/tube top. The main point of this is for her to be comfortable when dancing.

What I’m trying to say with these references is how you won’t see her in high heels and a puffy pink dress on stage.
While she can pull these types of looks, and she has, she sticks with what she’s comfortable in. Because of this idea, I’ve seen that her fans also come to her shows in the style they're comfortable with, as such in the examples below too.
Gracie Abrams - The Secret of Us Tour
Sept 2024 - May 2025
When thinking about Gracie’s latest album, “The Secret of Us,” I think about the album colors: white, black, and, of course, yellow. Because of these colors, one can assume that she will also display this pattern in her wardrobe and on stage. But actually, now that the tour has started, she has not; she seems to keep her same
style as previous performances.

Gracie plays a lot with the idea of a crop tank top, wide-legged pants of some sort, and maybe she’ll throw in an oversized jacket or another top over. This style reminds me of Tate McRae. But a few differences Gracie has are how there’s less bold factors and more of a coquette style. With some of the images shared below, there’s also the play with denim on denim, casual “office fits” with the blazer, a lot of what seems to be comfy style too.

Throughout her fan base it’s noticed that they wear long skirts, and SO MANY BOWS. For this tour in particular, we will see a bunch of lace outfits and the color yellow incorporated. A lot of fans also would like to add the number 21 to their hand, such as with Taylor Swift lucky 13.
Sabrina Carpenter
Special Performances
“The queen of mini dresses and skirts,” a quote said a lot by fans and online reviews nowadays because of the way Sabrina shows up to her performances. One word to describe her wardrobe is “coquette.” I talked about this a bit with Gracie Abrams, but these images show this girly and cute style that Sabrina embraces a lot.
A spin to these looks is how she also incorporates outfits that are Y2K, a bit of pop-princess, and clothes that are heavy on the heart cutouts, sparkles, and pastel colors.
One of her classic looks is actually the heart cut out dress. This dress seems like she has every color possible. Even when it was Christmas time, she had a cute peppermint look.

And when I say pastel colors, this could range from any color of the rainbow but nothing that resembles dark…like I would not see Sabrina on stage wearing a dark green and black mini dress. Can she pull it off? Absolutely. But I think her first choices would be the iconic yellow, pink, and blue.

Something else that sets Sabrina’s style apart from the rest is her shoes. She comes out in high heels, if not most of the time, then all of the time! She ranges from 3-5 inches. She would also come out in a lot of chunky platform high heels and long boots. This “helps,” or others would say, “pop off” her look because she is quite short. Some even relate to her as “Polly Pocket.”
I honestly am a big fan of her onstage looks, mainly because I love the cute and pink factors to them. It’s cute how now we rationalize those aspects to miss Sabrina, “the pop-star princess.”
Thank you to those who came back to read our blogs and, of course, for the new readers! Get ready for this semester ;)
