Friendly Hello and Introduction!
Hello Hello! I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoyed the first week of November. I wanted to give a special thank you to everyone. My first blog has hit, over 100 reads, which is something I did not expect at all and I wanted to say I am very grateful for everyone who's reached out and supported my little pieces. You all are the best!!
For the past two posts, I've talked about two music artists I love and adore, and there are many others I will talk about in the near future. But I don't want to limit myself to sharing just music! :-) I have a growing love for all things media, art, and fashion, so today on this beautiful sunny...or cloudy... or rainy day...(I am writing this very early into the week...) I will be sharing some pieces from my closet to the world!

What Is 7-Point Styling?
7-point styling (or rule of 7 styling) is a method you can use to upgrade your outfits & characterize yourself more! You start out with three points; A top, a bottom, and shoes. Then with every accessory you add, you gain a point! The goal is to have at least seven points, but to not exceed nine. However, I am a maximalist, and I ignore the limit. Do what your heart desires!!! If three points makes you happy, perfect! if twenty makes you happy, also perfect! For the sake of what makes me happy, I am going to ignore the limit. :)

My Style
I have no idea how I'd categorize my style, I have gone through many iterations to finally get to where I am right now, and I'm sure in a year I'll change even more too. To give a broad illustration as to what my style is...since some of you may not know what I look like or how I dress, I will list off a few things that fit into my "aesthetic."
✿ colors such as: maroon, chocolate brown, ivory, forest green, plum, burnt orange, black, and anything earthy-toned.
✿ patterns such as: animal print (deer, leopard, etc), tortoise shell, stripes, polka dots, plaid, embroidery, and patchwork.
✿ materials such as: leather (dyed, or brown/black), silver & brass, wool, lace, suede, and fur.
✿ items such as: tights, layered socks, boots, mary janes, maxi skirts, low rise dark wash denim, buttons, cardigans, oversized jackets, button ups, vests, bullet belts (I have a real bullet belt), chunky and layered jewelry, huge belts, and purses.
✿ themes: fruit, bugs, woodland creatures, plants, flowers, bones, apocalyptic-militia-southern gothic-twee, etc
there are so many more things to my style that I haven't even touched on, and it's kind of why I don't really align myself with an aesthetic label. I love so many different elements from so many different styles, I cannot just choose one. :]

Styling
Okay, finally to actually styling!! I've had this fun-looking warm brown sweater I inherited from my grandmother. The neckline is lined with tassels, with wood beads on the end. I had this in my closet for a few months and still haven't styled it, so I decided to use this challenging piece!
⊱✿⊰
Point 1
Silver Jeans! These are low rise, flare, and medium wash, with very cute flower embroidery on the front and back pockets. I got super duper lucky finding these jeans, they don't seem to sell this anymore unfortunately. These are possibly my favorite jeans, very comfortable, cute design, shapes me very well, and are true low rise!
⊱✿⊰
Point 2
The brown sweater! I don't know what brand this is, and I don't know most of the brands of my items considering the tags have been ripped off. I've been thrifting for years and I'd say majority of my closet is either hand-me-downs from relatives, or they're found by me. However, it's a 3/4ths sleeve, thin and kind of see-through so I have a black camisole underneath, and the material is soft. Very comfortable, very breathable, it's not body-tight but not exactly baggy on me, so In the future I may want to use a brooch to pinch the back together.
⊱✿⊰
Point 3
Ruff Hewn Boots! These are super cute with three brass buckles on each boot, textured faux leather-suede, very comfortable. I love wearing these boots with my skirts & shorts, however I don't typically wear them with my jeans. I'm not the biggest fan of tucking pants into boots, perhaps that'll grow on me later, but it's not my personal preference. However, because the majority of my outfit is brown, I thought to use the sandwich method and wear these boots.
✿ The sandwich method is alternating between colors in layers, an example of this would be like wearing black shoes, a different colored pair of bottoms, and a black top!
⊱✿⊰
Point 4
A beaded scarf-belt! I have no clue as to what this is, I've used it as a belt before, and as a scarf, but a piece that is truly good can be used in all different kinds of ways! I decided on this because it is also a warm brown, and has tassels and beads, which I thought looked nice.
⊱✿⊰
Point 5
A braided dark brown belt! Really feeling the tassels today...but! I thought why not. Even if this is not as noticeable considering my shirt covers it up, the side tassels add a cute touch, and at least I know its there, and that's what matters.
⊱✿⊰
Point 6
A ton of jewelry!! I debated on not adding any necklaces because I already had a scarf, however, I wear my triceratops and ankh necklace almost every day so, I had to. Then I added some silver bengals, a silver wrist cuff, some rings, and I wore my basic silver studs (not pictured.) The older I am getting more more maximalist I become.
⊱✿⊰
Point 7
My big brown coat! I wear this almost every day the second it hits 65 degrees, and it is a staple in my wardrobe. I thrifted this for $3 a few years ago, it's faux suede, but is so comfortable and stylish (at least in a way I think is stylish.)
⊱✿⊰
Point 8
My black leather purse! I have no idea what brand this purse is, I also thrifted it but it has been my favorite go-to everyday purse for everything. It has so many pockets and is so sturdy :-)
