Phenomenal rusty industrial metal sound: I discovered this band in middle school through Burn the Priest's cover of Jesus Built My Hotrod, and they produce such a nostalgic sound that brings me back to 14. I'm a huge fan of Nine Inch Nails, so it's kind of a no-brainer that I would be head over heels for Ministry.

Opinion:

WOW! That's the first thing I thought about when I listened to this album. I am ashamed to say I've never heard of the Nymphs, but they have such a raw sound that I love. Such a beautiful alternative grunge rock sound with Hole-esque vocals.

A staple in the car growing up with you, anything AIC is immediate 10/10. Layne Staley's voice is one of an angel, and Facelift has no skips. The slow drudging and deep bassline with Layne's belting is euphoric; one of the godfathers of the 90s Seattle scene.

Opinion:

It's the most serious and intelligent album I've ever listened to by far; most people would not understand the musical and lyrical geniuses behind Fall of a Midwest Prince. From Hawk Tuah to Jar Jar Binks sex...wow...what an album,,

Opinion:

I found this album to be really charming and refreshing to listen to. It's super bright and had a unique and complex sound profile!! I haven't given Jim O'Rourke a listen through yet, despite enjoying Indie rock and math rock, and I'm really sad to find out that this is not on Spotify, so I have to listen to it on Youtube. </3 But I do think this was a phenomenal introduction to his work.

Opinion:

This was such a great album to listen through!! I am somewhat picky when it comes to hip-hop, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't listen to as much hip-hop as I should, but this totally stuck with me. I do think I'm going to look more into Jev.'s wor, and this is now going to be a new artist in my rotation

Opinion:

One of the best musicians of all time miss Amy Winehouse!! Back to black is such a fantastic album. I definitely prefer her album, Frank, HOWEVER!! BTB ties very closely to it. Her amazing vocals tied to the jazzy keyboard work is something that's constantly in my car radio rotation.

Opinion:

I can see the charm in this album! It's very cute and has a sweet folk-indie sound. I wouldn't say it really stuck with me personally, but I can see plenty of people enjoying it, and I understand why they would.

Opinion:

It is one of my favorite albums of all time; I am head over heels for Fiona Apple's work!! Her work as a pianist and vocalist alone is so incredibly calming to me, and the feminist themes in her work are something I admire deeply. If I were to create music, I would be deeply inspired by When the Pawn.
