This past Sunday, I had the joy of attending the opening of "Cut the Grease," hosted at the DIY gallery space, Unda.m. 93.
This exhibition featured works by Andy Heck Boyd and Kasper Meltedhair, a husband/wife underground artist duo from Kentucky. Their work features absurdist humor, nostalgic cartoon imagery, intense colors/patterns and a surreal dreamlike quality that you'd usually only see in children's art. Their body of work includes comics, films, zines, drawings, paintings, collages and more.

Showcased was a very fascinating body of work in a quiet, intimate space. Some highlights from the show were flipping through the zines, watching excerpts of the film "Busted Babies" from a CRT on the floor (the optimal viewing experience for such a film), and chatting with Parker Davis, one of the gallery curators/residents of the space.
Overall, it was a very inspiring experience! As a visual artist, I would definitely recommend checking this out. It served as a nice break from the usual shows I go to on weekends, and well worth the commute .
shoutout weird art
