I don’t know about you, but I love live music. I love going to concerts and seeing my favorite artists, people I’ve never heard of, and everyone in between. They’re something to look forward to when your life consists of school and work (as every UIC student knows too well). So when I heard that some health experts said that concerts won’t return until “fall 2021 at the earliest” I lost it. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that there are a billion things going wrong in this world that need more attention than my need to go to a live show, but it still really sucks at the end of the day that so many people, for the time being, will be unable to do something that makes them happy.
Growing up, I always knew that I loved concerts, even though I was never able to afford to go to many. So, I discovered the world of concerts that were recorded and put on YouTube. Even before the quarantine started, I would watch a concert that had been uploaded to YouTube multiple times a month. Below is a list of concerts that you can watch for free on the internet to (hopefully) keep your mind on all of the negativity in the world for the time being.
Billie Eilish // Where Do We Go? World Tour // March 9, 2020
The 1975 // Live at the O2 // 2016
Panic! At The Disco // Reading and Leeds Festival // 2018
Ariana Grande // One Love Manchester // June 4, 2017
Halsey // Manic World Tour // March 8, 2020
Paramore // Reading and Leeds Festival // 2014
One Direction // Where We Are Tour // 2014
Adele // Glastonbury // 2016
Lana Del Rey // Lollapalooza Brazil // 2018

Tame Impala // Glastonbury // 2019
