Coffee, Tea, & Cats?

I have already accepted my ultimate fate as a crazy cat woman. I also hope to end up an old spinster musician, but that’s another story. Not only have I accepted this cliche end for myself, (surrounded by cats with some old ratted gray hair and cat treats all over the place) but I now have assured my friends of this same fate.

Recently, I was informed by a friend that there is an actual place in this world where people can have coffee with the company of cats for comfort. This obviously took me by surprise as most all things concerning cats I already know. My friend mentioned this ever so lightly, so of course, what did I do? Google it.

At Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium, as stated on the website, “…visitors can kick back and relax with a cup of tea and spend time in the soothing company of our purring feline friends.” The idea of the cafe located in East London is to provide a soothing environment for people to relax and drink and pet a cat. If you ask me I would go here every morning for my cup of coffee. Sounds all too amazing? I know! I’m freaking out!

The cats are allowed to mosey about in the cafe and sit on visitors’ laps as well as be friendly and cat-like to all. “Our greatest and most important duty is to ensure the happiness and well-being of London’s most loved felines.” The cafe seems to have the best of both worlds (that is is one world is coffee and the other, cats). You can shop for feline goodies inspired by the cats themselves! It seems all too much fun knowing you can have cozy animals and a nice cup of tea or coffee. And the whole thing is helping cats that would otherwise be homeless. I could spend forever in this place. And I now have a new item on my bucket list!
