Bird Analogy

I’ve gotten myself into what may seem like a bird's nest of responsibilities. Factors in my personal life are changing; My environments are changing, and routines are being altered. I have to move the bird’s nest and manage it as neatly as possible. Tasks accumulating into one big project, to something that’s tangible and pleasant to the eye. The unpredictable wind is a force that can cause chaos, but it is feasible. This is what my senior year has felt like. A structure that evolves, deteriorates, and evolves. And if a gust of wind takes a knock out of the nest, I can pick it back up and collect myself with grace.
The process of change is an uncomfortable feeling at first, learning new skills and adapting to new formalities. There’s a sense of losing parts of you to attain things that you need in order to evolve and then regain yourself. This is sort of like the growing roots of a tree and shedding the ones that no longer serve their purpose to nourish and stabilize itself.
Company and supportive friends are always good to have around in pressuring times. Having an occasional movie night (if it’s comedy, that’s a plus!) to decompress, getting a coffee, or buying a small colorful trinket together to later add life to your space. Discovering new interests each time we meet. The conversations had with these people are even more important than the tangible things. When moments feel natural and not robotic, it is a breath of fresh air, even if the time spent with them is brief and passing. Birds can plan their actions, and their relationships with each other develop over time in a natural order.
We’re all just little birds under the same glowing sun, breathing life into one another collaboratively and also independently. Different songs are being sung in different environments, but all as a language of stability.

This "Bird Analogy" post is a clever and thought-provoking way to reflect on human behavior—unexpected yet surprisingly accurate. It reminded me of how people choose online casinos: some go for the flashy feathers, others for the strategy behind the flight.
