North Coast Music Festival is the unofficial farewell party to summer and welcome into fall and the new semester. The festival is the perfect blend of rising artists and established artists performing for a post-Lollapalooza crowd over three days.
NCMF returns for its ninth year. Taking place in Union Park from August 31st to September 2nd, and the 2018 lineup is stacked and the headliners are going to cap off their respective days with a bang.
On Friday Miguel shares top billing with Swedish DJ duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso. Miguel continues to release top notch tracks and his stage presence will undoubtedly result in a memorable headlining set! Conversely, Axwell Λ Ingrosso are guaranteed to bring an electric set catering to the EDM loving crowd.
Saturday will prove to be maybe the most stacked day. DJ Snake takes top billing for the day, and will also see sets from The Revivalists, RL Grime (who just released a new single with Miguel, will we see a surprise appearance from Miguel on Saturday?) and Cashmere Cat among others. The day will prove to have a great balance between genres.
Sunday won’t be a day to miss either as the headliner is Jamiroquai who will continue their first year of touring the US in over 10 years right here. And I’m a bit biased since I’ve been obsessed with Mura Masa and Gramatik lately but there isn’t any doubt that they won’t deliver.
The festival is “Summer’s last stand” so will you be there to make the last stand before fall? Be sure to keep up with UIC Radio on social media for festival updates and news!
