To celebrate the beginning of September and the fall season, I created a list of my favorite fall activities so you can make the most of the season!
Visit a Pumpkin Patch

This is my favorite thing to do every fall. My family and I usually go to Keller’s farm during September for apple picking season. I love getting lost in the corn maze, eating an unhealthy amount of apple cider donuts, and taking pictures of the colorful leaves. It’s also pretty affordable and a great activity to do with friends.
2. Horror Movie Night
My best friend and I love watching classic horror movies during this time of year. Last year, we made a charcuterie board with pretzels and cheeses and watched the Scream movies. This is super relaxing after a long week of classes.

3. Fall Picnic
The autumn leaves and cool weather make the optimal picnic experience. A fun idea is to have a potluck and have each of your friends bring a dish. It can also easily be low maintenance— just pick-up your favorite take-out and sit on a bench at the park.
4. Book Club
Although it’s hard to keep up with, it’s always fun to start a book club
with your friends. During the fall, my sister and I read dark academia books and discuss them at cafes. It’s a great way to motivate yourself to read more books.
5. Go to a Haunted House/Scary Escape Room

Every year I try to go to a haunted house, but never end up going. I plan on convincing my friends to visit one during October. Escape rooms with scary backstories are also tons of fun, although my friends and I usually end up arguing about how to escape.
6. Making Fall Themed Desserts
After my family goes apple picking, we usually make apple pie. This year my sisters and I want to try the “Deaf, Blind, Mute” YouTube challenge (which probably won’t go well).

7. Carve Pumpkins
I love trying to make scary pumpkin designs to scare trick-or-treaters. My sisters and I compete every year to see who can make the best pumpkin.
