3 Wrestlemania Weekend Predictions

wrestlemania-34-logo-superdome

This weekend in New Orleans is Wrestlemania weekend with Wrestlemania and NXT Takeover: New Orleans, but those are not the only wrestling shows on this weekend as Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor XII, Impact Wrestling vs Lucha Underground, Revolution Pro, Evolve, Crash, and many other promotions happening in New Orleans for Wrestlemania weekend.

Bullet Club Will Be Fine Bullet Club at the moment has a very interesting feud in the works between leader Kenny Omega and fellow member Cody for leader of Bullet Club. It was started after Kenny helped his former Golden Lover tag team partner Kota Ibushi, but has seeds planted at a feud since last year at NJPW Dominion. The build up has been great with Being the Elite, New Japan, and Ring of Honor with all other Bullet Club members choosing sides, such as Tama Tonga staying out of it with the rest of Bullet Club OGs, but Marty Scurll and Hangman Page choosing to side with Cody, and the Young Bucks still being undecided, but Kota who isn’t a member on Kenny’s side. Whatever the outcome of the match between Kenny and Cody the Bullet Club will be changed, maybe Tama Tonga and the Bullet Club OGs coming out and attacking Kenny, Cody, the Bucks, Marty, Kota, and Hangman to set up the Elites vs OGs.

  1. Various Title Changes at Wrestlemania There is a very stacked card for Wrestlemania with AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship, Charlotte Flair vs Asuka for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship, Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, the Usos vs the New Day vs the Bludgeon Brothers for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships, The Miz vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and others. I feel that the majority of these titles will change hands such as, Shinsuke being the new WWE Champion, Finn Balor being the new Intercontinental Champion, Rusev being the new US Champion, Cedric Alexander being new Cruiserweight Champion, Asuka being new Women’s Champion, and the most obvious Roman being Universal Champion (rolls eyes).

  1. Various 5 star matches There are a number of good matches this weekend that can be instant classics such as Aleister Black vs Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Championship, Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa, Cody vs Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll vs Dalton Castle for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship, AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship, Kota Ibushi vs Hangman Page, SoCal Uncensored vs the Young Bucks & Flip Gordon for the Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Team Championships, Charlotte Flair vs Asuka for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Tag Team Championships, Authors of Pain vs Undisputed Era vs Roderick Strong & Pete Dunne for the NXT Tag Team Championships, and a 6 man ladder match to crown the new North American Champion between Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Ricochet and EC3, among other matches from other promotions. I feel there will be various 5 star matches if correctly booked and given more freedom for moves.
