100 Hip Hop Albums You Probably Missed
While many of us are not huge fans of mumble rap, there are some finds you’d be interested in if you did some digging. Here is a list of my favorite 100 hip hop albums released since January 2018. While some are popular in the mainstream, I guarantee you have not heard of many on this list. This year in hip hop we are seeing a promising amount of new talent producing record-breaking numbers, while stars of the 1990s and 2000s decades are moving to the “underground level” of the industry. Stars of the past such as Onyx, Styles P, The Diplomats (Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana) are still producing records, just on another level separate to what the old-heads call “watered down lyrics”.
DMX, on the other hand, has been found in a surprise cameo appearance in Bhad Bhabie’s – Bestie ft. Kodak Black This has by far been one of the weirdest things that most people have missed. DMX was recently released from prison for tax evasion and has released news of an album and a biopic. We’d like to wish X and our good friend DJ Non-Stop good luck on their tour for the 20th Anniversary of “It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot” album.
So without further ado, here it is. 100 albums you probably missed:
